This genius DIY guru transformed their bedroom into a Harry Potter movie set almost too magical for words. Using decor pieces inspired by the wizard book series, one Imgur user shared their meticulous process of conjuring up the spellbinding bedroom upgrade. The DIY wizard used solid gray and black paint and a picture frame from Walmart to trace grout lines for a realistic stone wall pattern. To get an even edgier look, the designer mixed the black and gray paint together to apply dark stains on the stone walls.
To get the mesmerizing cloudy moon effect on the ceiling, the designer applied a base coating of black paint and then acrylic paint using a sponge to create the whimsical night sky.
The crafty designer purchased old books and printed out book spines from online to create antique decor pieces for the shelf wall. (The white owl on top was an added bonus!)
These Harry Potter potion bottles were made using free printables.
