At this point, I know a high-quality pan when I see one, and immediately the Risa Pan in Cool Grey ($125, originally $150) sold me. Not only is it incredibly stylish, but it has a nonstick, sol-gel ceramic coating that glistens in the light. It's not heavy, heats evenly, and has cooked every meal from sandwiches to stir fry to sauteed vegetables with ease (and has only required a rinse of water for cleanup). The best part, though, is that it's dishwasher safe — which is huge considering most nonstick pans' coating wears off in the dishwasher. As someone who always burns themselves, I love that this pan comes with two durable rubber potholders to prevent heat transfer.
