"Fried eggs are one of the few protein-packed breakfasts my kids will eat, and I have a pile of 'nonstick' pans to prove it. Finding cookware that combines the holy trinity of good egg-frying pan traits: a non-stick surface, toxic-free materials, and dishwasher-friendly care instructions can be as elusive to shop for as it sounds. When I heard about Our Place's new Titanium Always Pan, I was impressed by its claim to be the 'safest nonstick' pan that could be run through a dishwasher. When I got my hands on a sample to test, I decided to make fried eggs with salsa and a handful of spinach to test out its nonstick feature. I couldn't believe how well the pan crisped up the eggs, warmed the salsa, and steamed the spinach without burning anything. The eggs were shockingly easy to flip and actually stayed intact, while the lid helped to cook the yolk to perfection while steaming the spinach.
Now that I'm using it regularly, I usually don't even bother with the dishwasher because the pan is so easy to clean — I just wipe it with a soapy sponge and the food slides right off. The silvery steel pan accented with gold looks so stunning on my stovetop that I don't bother storing it away in my cabinets.
