Frida Kahlo Food Portrait
This Frida Kahlo Portrait Made Out of Rice and Seaweed Is Too Beautiful to Eat
We thought we had seen it all when we came across a Chiclet portrait of Frida Kahlo . . . until we found this sushi-inspired portrait! Guys, it's beautiful!
Samantha Lee is the food artist who brought the Mexican artist to life as a modified sushi piece, and from the looks of her Instagram, she is truly great at her job. With almost 700,000 followers, we know we're not the only ones that think her work is deliciously good.
For this sushi-inspired Frida, Lee used sticky rice to create her face while using seaweed for her hair, shawl, eyebrows, eyes, and nose. Her lips and top appear to be made with crab, and she even used broccoli to make Frida's signature flower headband. The amount of skill and attention to detail is impeccable and does Frida's artistic legacy total justice. It's too good to eat, that's for sure.
