Gloria and Emilio Estefan Receive a Big Honor From President Obama

When we thought Gloria and Emilio Estefan couldn't make the Latin community prouder, they're awarded with the Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama. The powerful Cuban couple attended a ceremony at the White House on Nov. 25 to receive the honor with other personalities including Barbra Streisand and Steven Spielberg.

Gloria and Emilio posed for photos with their medals, the highest civilian award given to those who provide significant contributions to the culture of the US, after President Obama gave a speech saying: "Some worried they were too American for Latins and too Latin for Americans. Turns out everybody just wanted to dance and do the conga."
