Jennifer Lopez on Her Kids: "They Just Made Everything Better"

Jennifer Lopez is kicking off the New Year with her Las Vegas show and a new TV drama — talk about being busy — but on her stop on Today to promote her new projects, J Lo opened up about her other role as a mom to 7-year-old twins, Max and Emme. "I think they just change your perspective on the whole entire world, you know, and how you look at life," the NYC-born star of Puerto Rican heritage said. "That was a big epiphany for me having children. . . . They just made everything better. They helped me grow as a human being."

J Lo also got candid about what it means to her to still be in the business in her 40s, hosting big events like the American Music Awards, saying she's glad to be an inspiration in Hollywood: "It's important to me . . . being in this business since my early 20s. There was always a moment where they are going to try and write you off. It's, like, don't write us off at a certain point in our lives. We have so much to offer."
