Queen Letizia of Spain knows that, as part of her job, she needs to dress for the occasion. The last month alone has seen her break out an elegant sheath dress for the red carpet at an award show, as well as a more fashion-forward leather pants ensemble for a journalism seminar. Letizia knows that getting dressed is primarily a practical matter — she is, after all, a woman who loves a good outfit repeat.
And on Friday, Letizia hit the sartorial nail on the head once again by selecting a pretty and polished outfit to open the Madrid Book Fair at Retiro Park. The engagement, which took place indoors and outdoors on a lovely Spanish Spring day, called for something elegant but not fussy. Letizia's combination of a simple pink sweater, with a classic tweed-looking skirt and matching suede heels, was a winner. It's an outfit that works in multiple scenarios, as well as on just about everyone — and odds are, you might just have something similar hanging in your own closet.
