Mexican beauty Alejandra Espinoza is having the best 2015. The former pageant queen, who has over 1.2 million Instagram followers and 3 million "likes" on Facebook, not only had a baby this year, but also landed an amazing gig hosting La Banda appearing alongside powerhouse judges Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, and Laura Pausini every Sunday on Univision. And soon, you'll be seeing her gorgeous face all over town and on every commercial break as she joins Revlon as its new ambassador.

In charge of launching the brand's first fragrance in years, a line of mascaras, and matte lipsticks, Alejandra was basically born ready to step into this role; her 15th birthday present was a Revlon lipstick she coveted after seeing her sisters wearing the fiery shade. We caught up with Ale to chat about what it means to her to be the face of the cosmetics brand, her best-kept beauty secrets, and the best advice she ever got. Keep reading for her must-read quotes, then check out the gorgeous dress she wore recently on the red carpet.

POPSUGAR: Latinas love Revlon cosmetics — it's one of those brands that our moms used and we learned to love too. What does it mean to you to be the new spokesperson for them?

Alejandra Espinoza: I feel very honored. It’s a very well-known brand and very respected. Actually, I’ve been a loyal customer of the brand for a while. I’ve been using Revlon since I can remember. Like you said, my mom used it, my sisters used it — I have a bunch of sisters and they all always loved Revlon. The first lipstick that I ever had was the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fire & Ice ($8). My sister used to wear it all the time and I remember when I turned 15 it was actually my birthday gift. When you really like something, you can keep using it forever. I’m really happy to be officially part of the brand's family.

PS: What was the best beauty advice you got from your mom and sisters growing up?

AE: Well, it was actually from my mom and it was just to enjoy myself while I was young. She said: 'You can put on a lot of makeup, or don’t wear any. Leave your hair long or color it. Just do whatever makes you happy.' I think that was the best advice. I feel very comfortable with myself doing what I really like and experimenting with beauty thanks to her.

PS: How would you describe your beauty style?

AE: I like to be polished, but effortless. Of course at night, I like a little drama on my eyes or on my lips. That’s what I like about Revlon products: they’re really easy to use and you look effortless but beautiful.

PS: When do you feel the most beautiful?

AE: I think it’s all about attitude. In order to project beauty you have to feel it first and that’s what I try to do every single day . . . every day. No matter if I just woke up or if I'm tired and going to sleep or I’m working, it's on you to feel beautiful.

PS: What is the one beauty product that you can’t live without?

AE: I think that would be blush. I think it just gives you a healthy look, especially the Cream Blush ($14). I really love it because I can use it on my cheeks and also sometimes on my eyelids, and even on my lips. I’m obsessed with it, I think I could live on an island with it, just with it. I love all the shades.

PS: You’ve been in the spotlight for so long and spent so many hours sitting on a makeup chair and picking up tricks from the best makeup artists — what makeup tip do you live by?

AE: Powder on top of foundation — that way you don’t look shiny and your makeup lasts longer. I apply it with a brush. It's simple, but works.

PS: You talked about experimenting a lot with your makeup. Is there any particular feature you like playing with?

AE: I actually love my eyelashes. I’m obsessed with them; I’m crazy about them. I try to take a lot of care of them. Revlon has this beautiful new collection of five different mascaras and they were created to match any look you want. Even the packaging is different than their previous launches. They're cool and come in different colors. I love the Ultra Volume Mascara ($9, out November 2015). It gives you what the name says — ultra volume — and it comes in a beautiful hot pink color tube, which is my favorite color.

PS: Do you have a special routine to boost up your lashes?

AE: Not really. I don’t like to curl my lashes; just put on the mascara and that’s it. If you have a good mascara, you don’t need the curler.

PS: You’re the face for Revlon's new fragrance, too (Love Is On Eau de Toilette, $35, out November 2015). Is there a note in this scent that really stuck with you?

AE: You know what, when I first smelled it, I thought it was very different. For me, it’s great because I’m in a very special moment in my life with my family — I just had a kid — and my career, and I think I’m going to be building new memories with this fragrance. It’s beautiful and my husband loves it and I know everyone is going to love it, too. It’s delicious. I’m very excited.
