11 Things You Didn't Know About Luisana Lopilato

Let's be clear: Luisana Lopilato might have just debuted in her first English-language movie, Fair Market Value, but she isn't, by any means, a newbie on the scene. The 31-year-old Argentinian actress and L'Oréal Paris spokesperson has been on TV and the big screen since she was just a little kid with long hair and bangs — just ask her more than six million loyal Twitter followers.

If you grew up in Latin America, chances are you did it with Luisana, watching her in hit telenovelas like Chiquititas and Rebelde Way and singing along to every one of her records. But for those who don't yet know much about Michael Bublé's wife, we've compiled this list of interesting facts, straight from Luisana herself. Scroll ahead to get to know the mom of two and soon to be three in her own words.

She Was Discovered When She Was 6

It was all luck for Luisana, who didn't think about acting before a manager approached her in the street.

"I was 6 years old and I was in Buenos Aires. I was playing on the street with my mom, and a manager, who was living in the area, said to my mom: 'Listen, I'm looking for a little girl for a commercial, and we're looking for someone like your kid. Do you think that you can take her to do the audition?' My mom wasn't sure at that time, but the woman said, 'I'm going to leave you my number, and you can contact me if you're interested,'" Luisana told POPSUGAR Latina.

"My dad — he always loved to act, and he said, 'Why don't you take her?' and my mom still said no; she was scared. So my dad took me without my mom knowing, and I got the part, and never stopped."

Her Favorite Song From Her Breakout Role in Chiquititas Is "Rinconcito de Luz"

When she was 12, Luisana got cast as Luisana Maza on the fifth season of the hit show Chiquititas, a musical telenovela for kids about an orphanage. She released several albums with her costars and acted on the show for three years.

"There are too many favorite songs, but I think 'Rinconcito de Luz' is my favorite. Oh wow, there are too many. 'Todo, Todo' and 'Chufa Chá.' I remember dancing to all of them, and I like them . . . I really like them. As a mom now, I can go on YouTube and show my son, and he looks at me so weirdly, like, 'What is that?'"

She Still Talks to Some of Her Bandmates From Rebelde Way

After Chiquititas, Luisana went on to star in Rebelde Way, a soap opera about four classmates who form a band at a boarding school. The pop group became a real-life sensation, and Luisana got to tour the world — you might also know the Mexican version, Rebelde.

But does she still stay in touch with her bandmates? "I'm in touch with BenjamĂn [Rojas] and Felipe [Colombo], but not with Camila [Bordonaba] anymore. I think she went to live abroad," she said.

When She First Met Her Husband, Michael Bublé, She Thought He Wasn't Interested in Girls

"It's really funny! I went to see Michael's show and I had a friend working at Warner Music at the time. He knew me because of Rebelde Way, and he asked me to go to Michael's hotel after the show to take a picture with him. I said: 'No, I don't want to go' — because this is the way it works in Argentina, you know? You go see someone at a hotel, and then you're all over the magazines. So I said no, but he said, 'No, he's so quiet, nice, and he's with his family.' So I said OK," Luisana recounted of meeting Michael in Buenos Aires.

"I had a guy friend that was on a TV show with me at the time, so we went together. I get to meet Michael, his grandpa, and his band, and we took a picture. But he was telling my friend that he had beautiful eyes and asking him questions, so I thought he was gay. I said, 'Oh, my God, he's all over my friend,' but he was trying to figure out if we were together," she said, laughing.

05

Having Two Babies Has Made Her Forgetful

Luisana has two boys with husband Michael, 1-year-old Elias and 3-year-old Noah, and she admits two is a way bigger handful than one.

"It's hard, it's hard. I had a difficult time the first two months, and now I'm getting better. I know I need two backpacks, what I need to pack, what I need to take with me, the bottles, the milk. I've got a list so every time I go out of the house I check it, and I have everything ready. Before, I'd forget everything! I didn't bring any diapers with me once, I was like, 'Where's my mind? I'm not taking diapers for the little baby,'" she said of being a new mom of two under 3.

06

She Loves Sports

Luisana has had no problem getting fit and strong postpregnancy, and she'll be the first one to tell you working out comes naturally to her. "I'm pretty healthy and I like sports. I do CrossFit, tennis, and really everything. I don't think, 'Ugh, I have to try to train,' I just do it," she said. "I like to feel like I'm doing something all the time."

07

Her Secret to a Great Marriage Is to Be Supportive

Michael tours the world, while Luisana's film projects sometimes keep her in Argentina, but she says the secret is to stand with each other, no matter what.

"We're going back and forth a lot between Canada and Argentina, but you know what? It's good! He really supports me a lot, and when he has time off he comes with me and helps me on set and with the kids. He really is a good match for me. He knows I love my career, and I can't be without my kids, and we make it work," Luisana said.

08

She Didn't Want to Watch Herself in Her First English-Language Movie

"I was really nervous about Fair Market Value because, of course, English is not my first language and I mean, I think in English now but it's hard. Judy [San Roman], the producer, helped me a lot, going through my lines with me like 20 times a day and then the director, she really, you know, trusted me," Luisana said of the experience filming her first English-language movie. "I didn't want to watch the movie, I said, 'Oh, my God, my English is not that good. I can't watch,' and when I did I really liked myself. I said, 'I can do this.'"

09

Her Main Focus Is Spanish-Language Movies

When asked about what roles she'll love to film in English, Luisana says she's not in a position to be picky. "To me, it's like if it doesn't happen for me in the US, I will always have work, you know? I've been working since I was 6 years old in Spanish-speaking countries, like Spain, Argentina, and Mexico. English acting is something that I'm starting now, that I hope to have more opportunities in, but I'm not looking to be someone here, you know? I have a career."

10

She Doesn't Have Any Plans to Sing Again . . .

Even though she's performed on some of the biggest stages in the world as part of Rebelde Way's band Erreway, Luisana has no plans to pick up her singing career again: "I'm an actress first and then I'm an actress that can sing and dance. But I'm not a professional singer."

11

. . . Unless Michael Writes a Song For Her

"Of course I will, yeah, my husband is so talented so I can't say no to him," Luisana said about Michael composing for her.
