These 2 Brides Had the Most Beautiful Lakeside Ceremony in Canada

Lakeside Banff Wedding

Lesley had the perfect proposal planned out: she and her girlfriend Philomena would enjoy a nice picnic by Lac De Arcs, enjoy the views, and then Lesley would sing a song on her guitar asking Philomena to marry her. She even picked the perfect spot to throw their raft over. As Lesley stalled until the perfect moment, the wind pushed their raft out onto the water without its rafters and she instinctively jumped in after it. The water was cold and muddy, but Lesley swam through it in her hair and makeup that she had prepared just for this occasion.

Once she returned to shore, Philomena was laughing and showering her with praise until she said, "I would marry you if I could!" Taking this as her queue, Lesley grabbed her guitar and continued with her master plan. She, of course, said yes.

For their wedding, the couple decided to tie the knot at Two Jack Lake in Alberta, Canada, where 65 of their friends and family gathered. The two shared a beautiful lakeside ceremony, followed by a reception at Cornerstone Theatre. They were blown away by the decorations, but the best part, however, was seeing all their guests in one place. The newlyweds then shared their first dance to "You're My Best Friend" by Queen, a fun and upbeat song that fit them perfectly.

Lesley and Philomena had the sweet idea of saving the top tier of their wedding cake and freezing it until their anniversary. As for their honeymoon, they went houseboating on Shuswap Lake, a tradition they plan to keep up every year.
