A Retro Winter Wonderland Wedding

It was a flashback to the '50s for Hannah and Isaac's intimate, retro-themed wedding in Alberta, Canada. Photographer Kristilee Parish noted, "We started out by getting ready in the house the bride grew up in with her four sisters, mom, and two best friends. The ceremony was beautiful and so special, as the bride's father not only walked her down the aisle but also led the ceremony." There were some unique DIY elements, including the gorgeous paper-flower bouquets, and I can't get enough of the bride's sweet vintage wedding gown with a cutout back! Bride Hannah describes the big day:

"Our wedding was inspired by the 1950s and Old Hollywood. We wanted to incorporate some of the glamour of the era along with the fun. We decided to have ice-cream sundaes instead of cake, and candy that was popular in the '50s for favors. We made most of the decorations and all of the bouquets to have a personal touch and so that we could keep them as memories of the day. We framed pictures of our grandparents from around the 1940s to 1970s and put them on the tables so that they could be included in the day, especially those who were not able to be there. We made table number cards out of pictures of couples from the 1950s dancing or kissing. The bridesmaid dresses and the bridal gown were also vintage to keep the theme."
