Here's Why Kimmy Schmidt Is Your New Favorite Female Role Model

For someone who was trapped in a bunker for 15 years, Kimmy Schmidt sure does have a positive opinion of the world. While traversing her brand-new life in New York City, she dropped many inspirational nuggets, including these 12 favorites of mine. While you're at it, don't forget to have another listen to the remix of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's theme song, which coined the catchphrase "females are strong as hell."

Use your assets.

Butts are so in right now.

Listen to your intuition.

She knows what she's talking about.

Exude confidence.

Amazing things happen for confident people, like getting an audition for the Spider-Man Too: 2 Many Spider Men musical, even if it is for the role of Spider-Man No. 12.

Stay positive.

Stuck in a bunker? Keep reminding yourself that the world is still a good place, even if it might be consumed by apocalyptic flames.

Never give up.

Even when life is kicking your ass.

When in doubt, smile it out.

My grandma always told me to fake it till you make it. Kimmy told me to smile until I feel better.

Dare to be different.

Even when it's hard, you have to be yourself.

You can be anything you want to be.

So can monkeys.

It's what's inside that counts.

Overloading on plastic surgery from a doctor who can't even move his face will not make you feel better. Candy for dinner might, though.

Getting undercharged at the diner for your morning scrod is totally a win.
