This Whimsical Canadian Wedding Has the PRETTIEST Accents

A stunning ceremony in downtown Toronto with lots of bright, charming decor? Count us in. Couple Katherine and Andrew took their vows at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada, and the resulting photos are jaw-dropping. Here's what the photographer of A Brit & A Blonde had to say:

Katherine and Andrew are a ton of fun. They met in university while studying law out east. They got married in beautiful downtown Toronto. Their ceremony was held at Trinity College Chapel at the University of Toronto, followed by cocktails and reception at The Royal Conservatory of Music. A most rad venue. The bride played many piano recitals there as a child. And the couple is a big fan of music.

The decor was modern, with hints of vintage and whimsical. [I] adore all those pops of yellow. Lemons played a big role in the decor — Kat and Andrew enlisted the help of their wedding party to scour Toronto for as many lemons as they could muster. They joked during the speeches that there are literally no lemons left in the city that weekend. Guests sat at long banquet tables, encouraging conversation and mingling while they feasted on dinner. Lisa from Sweet Woodruff did a great job marrying all the decor elements with an eclectic mix of floral arrangements made of ranunculus, anemones, and dahlias, dispersed among mercury candles, bell jars, and accents of lemons. Wine crates and even more lemons decorated the reception tables, while guests browsed a display of framed old family photos nearby. Guests were asked to sign the back of postcards that were designed by the couple. Palettera created beautiful custom name cards and the lovely invitations. Guests found their seats by the super creative piano-key-inspired escort card display (also by Palettera) hung on an old window frame. We loved this — such a nice touch since the reception took place at The Royal Conservatory of Music. Rebecca Chan and her team helped bring all the vision and details that the couple had been working on to life. The reception setup was picture-perfect.

The amount of DIY was astounding! With the help of friends and family, these guys got super crafty, and it looked fab. The groom's parents helped create the marquee lights, which looked gorgeous all lit up during the reception. The rustic table numbers were constructed by the groom's family. The Mr. and Mrs. signs, the chalkboard signage, the table decor — all done with love and smiles from the couple and their friends and family.

See all the lovely photos ahead!
