Dancing in the Rain by Kelly Jamieson is a standalone contemporary romance about a retired hockey player who's grieving over the career he had and the breakdown of his marriage. Drew grew up knowing he was talented, with one goal — to play in the NHL. He's never been the kind of guy to have a backup plan, and now that his career is over, he's lost and not handling his disappointments very well. Things get even tougher when he discovers he has a daughter he never knew about. Peyton is fighting for the strength to help her sister through her health crisis and look after her niece, while trying to hang onto the career she's built that means everything to her. When Drew meets his daughter and her Aunt Peyton and gets to know their little female family, their challenges put his own into a different perspective. From these three strong women, he learns courage and strength. He learns that life is short and sometimes hard, but love makes life beautiful, and we can either let life's challenges bring us down or we can learn to "dance in the rain."
