Justin Timberlake's First Priority as a Dad Will Make You Nod in Appreciation

Justin Timberlake geared up for the most important part of the Super Bowl — aka his halftime performance — with a round of interviews at a press conference in Minneapolis leading up to game day. On Thursday, he talked plenty about sports, but let's get to the real highlight of the conversation: his sweet comments about his 2-year-old son, Silas. When a CBS News reporter asked, "Would you want your son to follow in your footsteps if he wanted to do that?" Justin responded, "Ahhh, that question."

"I'd rather not think about it because he's about to turn 3, but he did come to rehearsals yesterday, and I was shocked at how quickly he could cover 100 yards," Justin joked. "So, ya know, speed runs in our family." The reporter then asked, "So you would support him if he wanted to run some routes and get in the NFL?" Justin's thoughtful response proves just how supportive of a dad he is. "My main objective is that he become a great person, and if he wants to get into the arts or sports, then, then yeah, I would fully support that. I think I can hopefully offer him some advice on what to do and what not to do."

Reiterating the fact that his son isn't even 3 years old yet, Justin said, "Right now we're working on our manners. That's a big deal in our house right now. One thing at a time." Sounds about right!
