This Teen Took His Mom Who Missed Her Prom as His Date, and We Can't Stop Smiling
After having her son at the age of 17 and dropping out of high school, Joe Moreno's mom never got to experience the fun of a high school prom — until now. With his own prom approaching, rather than craft an elaborate "promposal" for one of the students in his class, Joe asked his mom to be his prom date, and we can't stop smiling.
"My mom had me at the age of 17 [and] she dropped out of high school to focus on giving me her all. Last night I gave her the prom night she never had," reads Joe's now-viral tweet, which shares two photos of the pair. In an additional tweet, Joe shared adorable photo strips featuring him and his mom in a variety of poses.
"My mom was really emotional and loved the idea [of being my date]," Joe told POPSUGAR. "I loved being able to create that memory with my mom."
