As the nation reeled over the white supremacist and neo-Nazi march that took place on Aug. 11 and 12 and left three dead in Charlottesville, VA, those who remained came together as a community.
People held hands and hugged at the site where 20-year-old James Alex Fields Jr. drove into a crowd of protesters and killed 32-year-old Heather Heyer. It was not the only one in the nation; many vigils were held across the US as well as counterprotests.
