French Woman Responds to Trump's Tweet About Paris Incident

This French Woman Is Breaking the Internet With Her Viral Clap Back to Trump's Tweet

On Feb. 3, a machete-wielding man attacked French soldiers at the Carrousel du Louvre, an underground shopping center near the famed Louvre museum in Paris. When one soldier noticed the man approaching, he shot the attacker in defense. The event took place around 4 a.m. EST, according to CNN, and naturally, President Donald Trump couldn't resist offering his thoughts on Twitter shortly after news of the incident broke.

It turns out there were quite a few glaring errors within the tweet, and one genius Parisian decided to bring them to light. Facebook user Egie Wild posted a screenshot of his tweet and gave a candidly snappy response to the falsities he shared regarding the occurrence in Paris.

She starts the post on a deceivingly pleasant note, writing, "Dear Mr Trump, thank you for your concern," but goes on to dissect his tweet word by word. First she calls out how the POTUS incorrectly identified the location of the incident. "It wasn't in the Louvre Museum, it was in the Carrousel du Louvre, which is a mall. (Less symbolic than what you're implying.)," she wrote.

The Parisian also pointed out how Trump's words about tourists being "locked down" were confusing. "The crowd has been kept inside after that by order of the army for security reasons, but not for any kind of hostage situation. (Your tweet is -voluntarily?- ambiguous)." She then reassured the president that "France is not on edge again, at all," and that she went back to business as usual following the incident.

Egie wrapped up her post in the most glorious way possible. "Again, thank you for your concern, but don't use France as an excuse for your arseholery. You're the one encouraging fear with your distortion of truth," she wrote.

Her post quickly went viral, having amassed more than 250,000 shares and 320,000 reactions so far. Though some Trump supporters weighed in on her post showing their disdain, many other Facebook users flooded it with comments applauding her use of witty humor to call out his false claims. Bravo, Egie, for bringing the truth to light and for one of the most eloquent uses of "arseholery."
