Marsha Blackburn's Twitter Poll About Obamacare
This Republican Congresswoman's Twitter Poll About Obamacare Totally Backfired
![]()
Tennessee Representative Marsha Blackburn got an unexpected surprise after she shared a poll about the Affordable Care Act with her Twitter followers on Jan. 3. In the poll, the Republican congresswoman asked a simple question: "Do you support the repeal of Obamacare?"
Marsha is a staunch opponent of Obamacare. In the healthcare section of her official website, a spokesperson for Marsha wrote, "Obamacare has left too many Americans without the care they need at a price they can afford," adding, "Marsha will continue to support seniors' access to Medicare by remaining vigilant to prevent the current administration from robbing Medicare to pay for Obamacare."
We can assume Marsha had hoped the results of her poll would align with her personal ideology. That did not happen. The final results showed that — of the 7,968 who voted — 16 percent support the repeal of Obamacare while a resounding 84 percent do not.
Do you support the repeal of Obamacare? RT if you do, and share what you want to see as the replacement.

Many have since noticed that White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz retweeted the poll, which may have caused for it to backfire for Marsha given his many liberal followers. Eric then retweeted Sopan Deb's remark about the poll in which former CBS news reporter noted, "I don't think this is how Marsha Blackburn intended for this to go."
