Michelle Obama campaigned for Hillary Clinton in Charlotte, NC, on Tuesday and brought her wit with her to the rally. Taking aim at Donald Trump for claiming his microphone was defective during the first presidential debate, Obama tapped her microphone in an apparent burn against the GOP nominee.

The mic check, which people have dubbed the new mic drop, came as the first lady was speaking about resiliency. "Hillary Clinton is tough . . . when she gets knocked down, she doesn't complain, she doesn't cry foul," Obama said while tapping the mic. (See it at the 1:32 mark above.)

Luckily for Trump, there's some validity to his claim. The Washington Post revealed that there were indeed microphone issues during the first presidential debate. Per the Commission on Public Debates, "Regarding the first debate, there were issues regarding Donald Trump's audio that affected the sound level in the debate hall." However, as The Post also points out, the microphone debacle was not a conspiracy against Trump, as his claim suggested. And it doesn't explain his incoherent answers.

True to form, Obama did not mention Trump by name, but she made it quite clear who she was referring to.
