But a legal challenge now requires parliament's approval; a high court judge ruled that the members of parliament will have to vote on triggering Article 50, the law that stipulates the process of exiting.
- Speaking of suspense, the Chicago Cubs won the World Series after 108 years of waiting. Their drought ended last night with a nail-biting 10th inning win over the Cleveland Indians. Impressively, the Cubs overcame a 3-1 series hurdle to win the championship in game seven. Fans, old and young, were rejoicing at Wrigley Field throughout the night.
