Samantha Bee Expertly Blames the GOP For Not Listening to Barbara Bush About Donald Trump

No late-night host was more suited to dismantle the now infamous Trump tape than Samantha Bee. Most of her Monday night segment was expertly dedicated to the video of Donald Trump making horrific comments about women. While annihilating the GOP nominee for his behavior, she also dealt a strong blow to Republicans for sticking by Trump this entire time and not listening to Barbara Bush, who condemned Trump in February. Bee showed clips of Bush saying, "He's said terrible things about women. I'm a woman," and, "I don't know how women can vote for someone who said what he said about Megyn Kelly. It's terrible."

The Full Frontal host also took issue with men who say they are offended by Trump's comments because they have a wife or daughter or sister or mother. Guess what? Everyone has a female relative, she sarcastically explained. "Trump's comments are not wrong because you have female relatives . . . Trump's comments were wrong because women are human. And if you hadn't sat cravenly by while he insulted them for a year, you wouldn't be in that pile of elephant sh*t you're in today." Bee's argument echoes that of other late night hosts like Trevor Noah. Bee also addressed that it's absurd how Republican lawmakers decided to pull their support for Trump after this audio leaked, but not after any one of the other times he made offensive or racist comments.

In another segment on the same topic (video below), Bee skewered Billy Bush for not standing up to a "bullying, cold-hearted, alpha male." She also hilariously stopped playing the leaked tape and termed it "a hostile work environment training module." Bee even compared Trump's crude comments to his lack of concrete policy. "Trump was literally explaining a time-tested strategy for sexual assault," Bee explained, saying his remarks are "the closest thing to a plan Donald Trump has described this entire election." Watch both clips, and then catch up on the latest fallout from the tape.
