People Are Straight-Up Bashing the Mere Idea of Heterosexual Pride Day

On Wednesday morning, the hashtag #HeterosexualPrideDay was trending on Twitter — a response by those annoyed that June is gay pride month and who believe heterosexuals need their own recognition. (FYI, heterosexual pride parades are a real thing.)

Not before long, the hashtag was taken over by people furious that such a movement even exists given the plight of gay people (see: the Orlando, FL, nightclub massacre earlier this month).
