A new video by Doctors of the World aims to show what's so frightening about refugees from Syria. Spoiler alert: nothing.
Alongside phrases like, "They're not like us" and "They're all terrorists," we see the faces of Syrians who are nurses, principals, tailors, and pharmacists. Two particularly heartbreaking moments come at the :41 mark where we see a boy describe what he wants to be when he grows up and later when we see what Syria looks like after being ravaged by war.
Doctors of the World — a humanitarian organization that offers medical care to "vulnerable populations while fighting for equal access to healthcare worldwide" — interviewed the refugees at hospitals and clinics at the Turkish border in late December.
