From the photographer: "I took these photos, and others, at Lobitos beach in Piura, the surfers' paradise in northern Peru. It is the place where the Peruvian desert reaches the Pacific Ocean. What you see in these photos are the results of the fusion of the works of sand, sea, stones, sun, and wind. It is the common work of art of these great masters of nature; that's how I see it. And it's as simple as it is mysterious."
