Reasons to Stay in a Disney Hotel

10 Huge Perks of Staying in a Disney Resort

One of the best things about any of the Disney parks is that the entire property is all-inclusive it its Disneyness. What I mean by that is that even when you leave the park to go to your Disney hotel, you're still surrounded by Disney magic, which is why it's so worth it to stay at a Disney resort during your trip. Disney cast members have truly thought of everything that could possibly make your trip more enjoyable when it comes to your hotel stay, whether it's making your check-in more seamless with the addition of the MagicBand or putting a smile on your face when Mickey Mouse shows up for breakfast. Choosing a Disney resort should be top of mind when booking your next Disney trip for these 10 time- and money-saving reasons alone.

  1. You can have all your park purchases delivered back to your hotel so you don't have to carry them — free of charge.
  2. You have quick, easy access to Disney transportation, be it the monorail, boat, or Disney buses. Say goodbye to parking fees at the parks!
  3. Three words: Extra Magic Hours. The extra hours in the mornings and at night are reserved for Disney resort guests.
  4. There's just as much Disney magic to see in the resorts, especially during the holidays. The resorts are festively decorated and are a sight to see all on their own. My personal favorite is the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian each Christmas.
  5. The characters are there! When Mickey and Minnie need a break from the parks, they come visit the resorts, so you and your friends and family have even more chances to meet them.
  6. At Disney World, you can link your credit card to your MagicBand, which means you can carry fewer things around the parks. Rather than lug around your whole wallet, just have your MagicBand and your ID on hand and you're all set! Your MagicBand also links to your PhotoPass account.
  7. There are so many resorts to choose from across all the Disney properties worldwide — in varying price ranges. You can even camp at Walt Disney World in Florida. Your options for what you want out of a resort are practically endless.
  8. Staying at a Disney resort gives you earlier access to booking with Fastpass+ and earlier booking on dining on Disney property. If you're going to the parks during a peak season, having access to earlier bookings could save you a lot of hassle later.
  9. You can check your luggage from the airport you leave from directly to your hotel room with Disney's Magical Express transportation. You'll be provided with luggage tags that will direct your luggage to exactly where it needs to be.
  10. Staying on Disney property cuts down on the amount of time it takes you to get from your hotel to the park and vice versa. Time is of the essence when you want to pack as much into your visit as possible.
