Artist Reimagines Disney Princesses as Horror Movie Villains
This Artist Reimagined Disney Princesses as Halloween Characters, and They're Scary Good
Princess Ariel as Pennywise? Devilishly delightful. Merida as Chucky? Terrifying but terrific. I didn't expect to love the Disney princesses reimagined as horror movie characters, but now that I've seen them, I can't look away. Russian artist Anastasia Kosyanova recently gave the familiar characters a spooky update in the spirit of Halloween, and I could truly scream over each image.
Anastasia channels her love of Disney into fan art and shares her creative creations with over 116,000 Instagram followers. For her latest venture, Anastasia illustrated the princesses in their "every day" wear and compared them to scary onscreen villains. She paid homage to It, Saw, The Ring, and more, and put the Disney characters in costume like I've never seen them before.
Ahead, get an up-close look at Anastasia's artwork. It's not too late to use one of these princesses as inspiration for your Halloween costume!
