Repeat After Me: The App That'll Boost Brain Memory

Can't ever dial dad's phone number by heart? Tsk tsk. Then you may want to try out Eidetic, a brain-training app (free) that helps you memorize just about anything. Before you get creeped out by the phrase "brain training," get the scoop on how it works.

All you do is enter a definition, phrase, fact, or number that you want to remember, and the app will send you reminders to test yourself at specific intervals. You can choose your intensity level by Cram, Normal, or Casual, depending on how long you have to memorize something (a day, two weeks, a month).

The idea is that by spacing the tests out over time, this will help retain the info in the long term. Eidetic is free to try out once, but for more mind help, you'll have to pay $2.

It's like school, but better.
