This Time-Lapse Video Reveals What Humans Have Done to Earth Over the Last 3 Decades

Google Earth recently updated its popular time-lapse feature to include high-resolution images from two new satellites. According to the tech company, the latest video features Google's "most detailed view of Earth across space and time" and now chronicles 32 years worth of human impact on the planet.

In the two-minute clip, you can see sharp images of how glaciers have shifted in Antarctica, the amount of forest loss and gain, and the spread of infrastructure development from 1984 to 2016. Press play on the video above to see how much the Earth has changed right before your eyes.
