Google Is Creating Kid-Friendly Versions of Its Services

Google is launching a child-focused initiative, and the biggest way it is kicking it off is by working on kid-friendly versions of many of its services. Children 12 and younger will have Google search, YouTube, and Chrome tailored just for them.

Google's goal with this is to keep the Internet safe for young users since more and more kids use Google both for academic and extracurricular reasons. What do you think of the new versions of Google services — do you think it's a smart idea to give kids online options tailored just to them?
