Star Wars on the Runway? Rodarte Made It Happen

Tatooine may have just frozen over, because Luke Skywalker and imagery from the Star Wars universe made a high-fashion turn on the New York Fashion Week runway Tuesday. According to Rodarte's Fall 2014 collection, next September will be all about Luke, C-3PO and R2-D2, the Death Star, the moons of Tatooine, and, of course, Jedi Master Yoda.

Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy showed five Star Wars-themed dresses, paired with a metallic makeup palette Princess Leia might like. Check out the full runway show for a closer view of each Star Wars dress, along with a glittering blue coat, that may just be as close to traveling the far reaches of the galaxy as we'll currently get.
