How to Get the Middle Finger Emoji and Make Texting More Awesome

Finally, the middle finger emoji we've all been waiting for is here — and it's not from Apple. The company didn't introduce the "eff you" symbol in its latest emoji update, but Microsoft's upcoming Windows 10 software will when it comes out this Summer. Best of all? The emoji will come in all skin tones, according to Emojipedia.

Other emoji will come in diverse skin tones as well, but the default color will be gray instead of the yellow that iOS users see. Ahead, check out how some of the symbols will look in the new platform.

"Skin tone modifiers, the middle finger, and a sassier information desk person are amongst the emoji updates in Windows 10," writes Emojipedia.

Here's "person with folded hands" in Windows.

Windows has also changed its previous emoji to make them more similar to those that Apple and Google users are used to. "Face Screaming In Fear now has hands on either side of the face, more closely resembling the artwork from Home Alone iOS and Android," says Emojipedia.

"Face With Look Of Triumph now directly matches its counterpart from Apple and Google. This is not what many would consider a triumphant appearance (appears to be in a frustrated huff, more than anything)," writes Emojipedia. "It appears that conformity of cross-platform appearance has won out over the logic of the naming here."

"Relieved Face loses its comical sheepishness, and now appears more calm with eyes closed, and a smile."

"Haircut now displays a woman having her hair cut, instead of scissors and a comb standing alone."

All these updates = emoji thumbs-up.
