You have to walk away from the three starter Pokémon four times.

Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle will disappear and reappear near you each time you walk away from them. You must do this four times total. According to the video, you only need to walk less than 200 feet to make the Pokémon disappear and reappear.
