Disneyland is celebrating 90 wonderful years of Mickey Mouse with a new museum, Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration, and it's everything a Disney fan could want and more. Not only is it full of Instagram-worthy backdrops and rooms that bring the mouse to life in new and unexpected ways, but guests can also step into the past (literally) and climb aboard a black and white airplane as Mickey's copilot. There's also an entire room dedicated to Mickey-shaped treats, and you can relive some of Mickey's most iconic moments.
Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration is located at the west end of the Downtown Disney District and is open daily from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Guests must book reservations online, as tickets won't be available at the door. If you're looking for a fun Disneyland day but don't want to go into the park, the pop-up is a great option. Keep reading for more fun facts and photos about the limited-time museum, which currently has no official end date.
This wall is full of black and white Mickey Mouse plushies. But somewhere in the thousands of Mickeys, there's one Minnie! Keep a sharp eye out for her as you walk through the space.
When you get to Disneyland's Downtown Disney District after purchasing your museum tickets online, you have a five-hour complimentary parking window. If you only shop at the retail store, parking is free for three hours.
The fab five (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto) are hand in hand in a massive wall mural inside Pop-Up Disney. Recreate it with your friends for the cutest snap!
Step into the neon Mickey gallery for bright colors and shiny Mickey statues. This gallery might be a little more challenging to take pictures in, but your patience to get the perfect shot will be rewarded!
Mickey's debut was in the Walt Disney animation classic Steamboat Willie. Guests who go to Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration have the opportunity to climb aboard the classic ship and pretend they're at the helm of the magic, even for just a moment.
