Well, hello! Following the success of the Hello Kitty food truck and international Hello Kitty cafes , the first and only permanent cafe is opening in the United States on Sept. 14. Located in the Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, CA, the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe offers an unreal experience with formal tea services, a cocktail bar, and plenty of pink.
For starters, there's a traditional cafe space with casual seating and quick bites, including macarons, mini doughnuts, and mini cakes. (Are you sensing a theme?) It's here where visitors can also grab souvenirs, like Sanrio's bow-handle mug and sequined bow headband. The cafe is open every day of the week, and seating is first come, first served.
The real showstopper, however, is The Bow Room. Open Wednesday through Sunday, the reservation-only dining room offers a tea service for $55 per person, which includes tea sandwiches and various petit fours. For visitors of drinking age, The Bow Room's cocktail service features several signature cocktails, with prices hovering around $20, as well as bottles of Hello Kitty wine .
Ahead, see pictures of the over-the-top space and learn more about the menu items.
