Baby Tiger Cubs Are Coming to Disney World, and We Can't Think of Anything Better

Magic. Mickey Mouse. Disney Princesses. And now, tiger cubs! Walt Disney World just announced that Sohni and Malosi, Sumatran tigers that live at Disney World's Animal Kingdom, are expecting a litter of cubs this Fall. So if you were sitting around asking yourself "can Disney World get any better?" — the answer is yes, yes, it can.

This is amazing news not just for park-goers who will get to bask in the cuteness of tiger cubs, but for the Sumatran tiger species as a whole, since they are very endangered. "There are reported to be only around 500 of these gorgeous Sumatran tigers left in the wild," says Disney.

The Disney Conservation Fund issued a statement along with the announcement, saying that Disney is "very involved" in the efforts to save endangered Sumatran tigers. "To date the Conservation Fund has provided nearly $2.5 million to protect tigers and their habitats," they said.

You can visit the parents and (soon!) the babies when you tour the Maharajah Jungle Trek in the Asia area of Disney's Animal Kingdom.
