The Top 20 Destinations to Propose in 2016
National Proposal Day is on March 20, and in preparation of the holiday, luxury ethical jewelry creators Ingle & Rhode researched up-and-coming engagement trends stemming from Instagram. Their studies revealed the top places couples are pledging marriage.
Ingle & Rhode combined data from four Instagram hashtags — #isaidyes, #proposal, #proposed and #heproposed. The geographical coordinates were then identified by checking the longitude and latitude of each image, and finally, the results were cross-referenced to the nearest city to reveal the most popular destinations in the world for people to propose in 2016.
