Gather Your Passports and Luggage
Let's get real — throwing a kid's birthday party that's fun for both the kiddos and the adults is a tough task. From the food to the music to the entertainment, things can get overwhelming, and fast. It also doesn't help that so many birthdays seem to stick to the same few themes (unicorn, mermaid, Disney). But this year, why not go off the beaten path and throw a staycation adventure instead? If your kid loves to explore, use travel as your party-planning inspiration. The invitations are their boarding pass, and as they enter your home, the flight attendants, aka the parents, take their ticket, and off they go to a faraway land without ever leaving the driveway. Going to Hawaii? Grab some leis and have a luau. Heading to East Africa? Get some beads to make bracelets and create a safari in your home. The world is wide, so get creative and make some memories!
