Last night, Bono cohosted a Coachella party that drew stars ranging from John Legend to Joe Jonas. Bono's clothing company, Edun — which he cofounded with his wife Ali Hewson in 2005 — teamed up with Diesel to throw their Studio Africa soiree on the first official night of the 2013 festival. The brands launched the Studio Africa project this year as an effort to spotlight fashion, music, and other arts from the continent.

Solange Knowles played DJ for the night at yesterday evening's bash, and Congolese-Belgian musician Baloji performed for the crowd. While plenty of the attendees have a musical pedigree of their own, such as John, plenty of actors and other celebrities hit the party, which was held at a private estate in La Quinta, CA. John and his fiancée, Chrissy Teigen, were spotted hanging out with stylist Brad Goreski, while Kellan Lutz, Theresa Palmer, Joe Jonas, and Mad Men's Jessica Paré rounded out the VIP crowd. Check out our roundup of all the celebrities at Coachella to see all the stars who are in the desert for this year's festivities!

Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Moss, and Kate Hudson Celebrate Stella McCartney's 40th

Stella McCartney had the company of her famous friends last night to celebrate her 40th birthday.

Stella McCartney had the company of her famous friends last night to celebrate her 40th birthday. Kate Hudson brought Matt Bellamy along to Asprey House, near Hyde Park Corner, and Gwyneth Paltrow was seen booking it out to her car afterward, holding two celebratory mugs that read "Stella's 40th" and featured a picture of young Stella. Paul McCartney and his fiancée, Nancy Shevell, flew in for the occasion, as did designer Tom Ford. Bono, his wife Ali Hewson, and Kate Moss were out for the long haul. They accompanied Stella for some late fun at the Groucho Club. Stella was decked out for the festivities in a blue-sequined dress of her own design while Kate Moss paired her Azarro jumpsuit with one of Stella's bags. Kate Hudson chose to go with a number from Elie Saab. Kate Moss's own significant other, Jamie Hince, wasn't able to join in, since he's off on tour with The Kills in Mexico; however, she arrived with artist Peter Blake, who designed the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover for Paul and The Beatles. There may be more partying in Stella's future, as she's set to show her Spring 2012 designs on Oct. 3 during Paris Fashion Week.

Shirtless Bono and George Clooney in Lake Como Pictures

George Clooney was joined by friends Rande Gerber and Bono in Lake Como this week. Bono stripped off his shirt and went for a walk around the property while George and Rande spent their afternoon touring through Italy on motorcycles. Biking and shirtless boating are among Mr. Clooney's favorite vacation activities, and soon we'll see more of his golden tan when he returns to work. George's next film, The Ides of March, is opening Venice's Film Festival on Wednesday. He directs and stars opposite Ryan Gosling in the political drama, though Ryan might miss out on the film's first premiere. Ryan's currently shooting The Place Beyond the Pines, but there's a strong chance he could meet up with George in September at Toronto's International Film Festival.

Beyoncé Thanks Jay-Z, Justin Kisses Selena, and Britney Duets With Nicki at the Billboard Awards!

Last night's Billboard Awards, held at Las Vegas's MGM Grand Arena, were star-studded from start to finish.

Last night's Billboard Awards, held at Las Vegas's MGM Grand Arena, were star-studded from start to finish. A pantless Britney Spears and Rihanna kicked off the proceedings with a scantily clad rendition of "S&M," and Brit later took the stage again for a performance with her tourmate Nicki Minaj. Beyoncé Knowles was another of the evening's biggest draws, and she was on hand to sing her new tune "Run the World (Girls)." There was an honor in store for Beyoncé as well, since she took home the Millennium Award and made a heartfelt acceptance speech that included a shout-out to her husband, Jay-Z. The night seemed to belong to Taylor Swift, though, with her win for Artist of the Year. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's live kiss gave Taylor some competition for the spotlight, however. The festivities were presided over by The Hangover Part II's Ken Jeong, who had some help from his costars Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis in introducing urban music — that is, tunes from Keith Urban.

Sharon Wauchob Debuts First Edun Collection for Spring 2011

>> When planning Edun's Spring 2011 fashion show, the label's co-founder Bono originally suggested an elaborate outdoor production with models that appeared to be emerging from the water.

>> When planning Edun's Spring 2011 fashion show, the label's co-founder Bono originally suggested an elaborate outdoor production with models that appeared to be emerging from the water. But he was reminded by Edun's new chief executive, Janice Sullivan, that they were supposed to be "having a fashion show. Show is the second word. Fashion is the first word." So they ended up staging Sharon Wauchob's first show for the brand in a semi-outdoor space, under the High Line, with gray sand and gravel beneath the models' feet.

Edun's mission statement was originally to manufacture in Africa, but logistics caused deliveries to be late — a no-no — and now most of the clothing is manufactured in China, with Africa currently alotted 15 percent of the total production; label co-founder Ali Hewson says she wants to see that number increase each season. Wauchob was brought in to make the clothes more fashionable, Hewson explained: "We focused too much on the mission in the beginning. It's the clothes, it's the product. It's a fashion company. That needs to be first and foremost."

As a front row populated by Dasha Zhukova, Gavin Rossdale and son Kingston, and Jeff Koons looked on, Wauchob sent out white cotton shirts (the fabric fair-trade and produced in Uganda), ecologically sound "by product" leather skirts, belts handmade in Kibera, Kenya, and long dresses trimmed with recycled metal.
