Taylor Swift was the belle of the Fragrance Foundation's ball in NYC last night. She hit the red carpet to talk scent-making magic alongside other celeb attendees Connie Britton, Jessica Szohr, and Dita Von Teese. Taylor told us about her own fragrance empire just before she accepted the fragrance celebrity of the year honor as well as one special connection to another singer, Britney Spears.
Jessica Szohr stopped by the Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City, and we talked to her about what sweet scent she usually sports (hint: it's wintery). She also got a little corny about the smell that makes her the most nostalgic and spilled on the perks of her role as a "dancer" in The Internship.
Taylor Swift stunned in a white Emilio Pucci dress to step out for the Fragrance Foundation Awards in NYC last night. She was joined by Connie Britton and Jessica Szohr, who both took the stage for the evening's festivities. Taylor had a lot to celebrate since her scent Wonderstruck Enchanted picked up the honor for celebrity fragrance of the year. Taylor's olfactory success won't stop with last night's award, since she recently debuted her newest scent, Taylor, earlier this month. We were on the red carpet to chat scents with Taylor, Connie, and Jessica, so stay tuned to POPSUGAR Live! for the interviews.
While Taylor was busy getting recognized in the fragrance world, she made headlines for taking home a trophy at another award show. In Kanye West's controversial interview with The New York Times, which was published on Tuesday, he may have directed a quote or two toward Taylor in relation to his interrupting her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. When asked about his concept of regret, Kanye revealed, "If anyone's reading this waiting for some type of full-on, flat apology for anything, they should just stop reading right now."
Last night, the LA premiere of This Is the End brought out a trio of fashionable red carpet looks. Emma Watson and Mindy Kaling, who star in the film, decided to ditch color for black and white. Emma paired a printed bustier top with black cropped trousers, then finished with a pair of platform pumps. Mindy opted for a black-and-white Kaelen maxi dress with a thin belt and white strappy sandals. On the opposite end of the style spectrum, Jessica Szohr donned a bright pink Ted Baker London peplum dress with an exposed zipper, and finished with black peep-toe pumps. All three ladies worked the red carpet like pros, but who deserves to be crowned best dressed?
It was a family day for Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale at a charity benefit in LA yesterday. The couple took their kids, Kingston and Zuma, as well as Gwen's niece Stella, to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation event. They weren't the only celebrity babies at the bash as Tia and Tamera Mowry both brought their little ones to the fundraiser.
Gwen and Gavin's children are no strangers to mixing with celebrities at parties — the whole family attended producer Joel Silver's famous Memorial Day beach party in Malibu last weekend, where the kids played on an inflatable slide on the sand and hung out with stars like Sean Penn and Diane Kruger.
The braid continues to be the hairstyle of Summer. Whether you're headed to a music festival or a formal rooftop party or just basking poolside, the braid should be your go-to look this season. All four of these celebrity looks from this past week are easy to re-create and work great on second-day hair.
Rachel Bilson (top left) attended the Chanel Dinner for NRDC wearing a bohemian braid look that was purposefully loose with a mussed-up texture. Her hair was full of volume on the top, where Rachel's layers framed the face, then the ends were braided in the back.
Jessica Szohr (top right) was spotted at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation's A Time For Heroes event wearing her bangs braided out of her face. The miniature french braid started at the part and was pinned back above the ear. It's the perfect look for a sweltering Summer day.
Also at the Chanel Dinner for NRDC, Bella Heathcote (bottom left) wore a more formal braided look. Her hair was slicked back into three sections and twisted together. At the nape, all the hair converged in a complicated chignon.
At the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation's A Time For Heroes, Tamera Mowry (bottom right) wore her hair in a classic milkmaid style. The crown of braids was separated from her bangs, which were split down the middle.
Last night at the Internship premiere, Jessica Szohr and Rose Byrne both wowed the crowd with sultry makeup looks. Jessica went with a sexy smoky eye, while Rose went with a lighter look that still smoldered. Find out the products and techniques used to create both red carpet looks.
Jessica Szohr played up her eyes with a subtle smoky eye. Her makeup artist Mai Quynh started by applying Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Shadow ($25) in Caviar (an inky hue) all over lids up to the crease. "I like to start with the eye makeup because I can clean up any fallen shadow on her bare skin," Quynh said. Then, she used a mix of the black and brown shades from the Femme Fatale Dolce & Gabbana Eye Shadow Quad ($59) in Jessica's crease. A touch of the black shade was also used underneath the eyes. Finally, Quynh lined the entire eye with Becca Automatic Eye Pencil ($23) and swiped on two coats of Diorshow Black Out Mascara ($25). This smoky eye is a look that won't overwhelm the beginner, and it's subtle enough to wear to an afternoon party. Make sure to balance the look with a soft lip like Jessica's Nars Satin Lipstick ($26) in Tolède.
Rose Byrne went with a lighter look that still had a touch of edge. "Rose's dress was so sophisticated yet sweet, so I wanted the makeup to be a little bit on the tougher side," said her makeup artist Monika Blunder. "My inspiration was Kate Moss — a rimmed black eye to create a smudgy, smoldering look." Her eyes were shaded with Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow ($43) in Premier Regard. Blunder applied the bronze shade to the lid first, then used the shimmering black hue on the outer corners and crease. She defined the eyes with liner, and three coats of mascara completed the eye makeup. Blunder complemented the dramatic eyes with peachy cheeks using a Chanel Powder Blush ($43) called In Love. The last touch was a nude lipstick, Rouge Allure Lip Colour ($34) in Gracile.
Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson cracked each other up on the red carpet for the premiere of their film The Internship last night in LA. The duo arrived in style, pulling up to the carpet in a Google Maps car, which was an appropriate mode of transportation since the comedy follows the pair as they take on a prestigious internship at Google. Vince and Owen are reuniting again on screen after the success of their collaboration on 2005's Wedding Crashers.
The film's leading lady, Rose Byrne, who donned a stunning pink Emilio Pucci number, linked up with Owen for a laugh on the red carpet as well. The trio were also joined by castmates Jessica Szohr, in a Haute Hippie dress, and Josh Gad for the West Coast debut of the comedy, which hits theaters on June 7. We were there for the fun surrounding The Internship's premiere last night as well, so stay tuned for details from Vince, Owen, Rose, and more!
Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick shared a sweet moment at LAX Tuesday as she dropped him off to catch his flight. The former Gossip Girl stars and real-life couple stopped at a nearby gas station before heading to the terminal, where they embraced as they parted ways. According to sources on the scene, the two reportedly were also spotted kissing. Jessica and Ed previously dated for four years before splitting in early 2012. While it hasn't been confirmed whether the two are rekindling their romance, they were recently spotted together at an event in Indian Wells, CA, during the first weekend of Coachella and also attended a City Year charity event in LA together last weekend.
Ed and Jessica have both been staying busy since their hit CW show aired its final episode late last year. Jessica recently made a cameo in her friend Taylor Swift's music video for the song "22," while Ed is set to star alongside Hailee Steinfeld in a new adaptation of Romeo and Juliet later this year.
