16 Characters We'll Definitely See in American Horror Story: Apocalypse

We're closing in on American Horror Story's eighth season, and excitement is at an all-time high. The next installment of the series has been titled Apocalypse, and don't worry — we've already gone all the way in on theories and other miscellaneous speculation. But there's one aspect of the season that continues to elude us: who, exactly, will appear? We're not talking about the official cast, which grows with each passing day. No, we're talking about the characters who will show up once the episodes start airing. Luckily, our list of names grows longer every day. Let's go over what we know so far.

Venable

At this year's Summer TCA panel for American Horror Story, we learned that Sarah Paulson will play three characters. Her new character is named Venable, and we don't have any information beyond the name. Sounds pretty ominous, though, don't you think?

Michael Langdon

Ryan Murphy confirmed the return of Michael Langdon, the Antichrist child of Vivien and Tate from Murder House, on Twitter. Naturally, we'd already predicted his return and even imagined how he might fit in with the whole Apocalypse thing. Come on down, Michael!

Cordelia Goode

During a live-tweet session with Ryan Murphy, Evan Peters, and Emma Roberts, Sarah Paulson confirmed she would reprise her role as Coven's Cordelia Goode. To further confirm, she answered a couple of additional questions specific to the character. Behold the Supreme!

Constance Langdon

Yes, Jessica Lange has been confirmed to return to the series! So far, we know she'll show up in episode six as Constance Langdon, so that's one guaranteed character. (We do hope she'll reprise her role as Fiona Goode, though.)

Billie Dean Howard

Paulson's third character — her third! — will be good ol' Billie from Murder House. She even confirmed it on Instagram.

Dinah Stevens

Adina Porter is back as Dinah Stevens, and that's about all we know.

Madison Montgomery

Emma Roberts was the first to announce that Madison Montgomery would be back for the show's eighth season. After appearing in Coven and sharing an interesting connection to Murder House, it kind of seems like a no-brainer!

Mallory

Billie Lourd is among the ranks as Mallory. "Just Mallory," she said during AHS's Summer TCA panel.

Misty Day

In August, Ryan Murphy tweeted a picture of the reunited coven, and Lily Rabe was in the group as the mysterious Misty Day! Sure, she was trapped in Hell last time we saw her, so that will be a fun one to get out of.

Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt

Another character whom we only have a name for! Sounds like a witch to me, though.

Stevie Nicks!

Played by Stevie Nicks, of course! Nicks appeared in the aforementioned coven photo, posted by Ryan Murphy.

Queenie

Another witch who should be dead — Queenie gets killed at the Hotel Cortez in the fifth season. But it seems like she might be easier to resurrect.

Myrtle Snow

Though Myrtle has been burned at the stake twice, she still appears in Murphy's coven photo. Looks like third time's the charm!

Zoe Benson

We have confirmation that Taissa Farmiga has rejoined the fold too, thanks to Ryan Murphy's photo!

Kyle Spencer

During the same tweet sesh, Evan Peters hinted he'd play Kyle again, referring to himself as "FrankenKyle." This is going to be good, y'all.

An Unnamed Hairdresser

Peters has also noted that he's playing a hairdresser, but that's about all the information we have on the character so far.

"Nana"

Peters confirmed in the aforementioned interview that Joan Collins would play his Nana in the season. We can't help but wonder if she'll step into some kind of Jessica-Lange-type role! Give us the power woman we deserve, Collins!
