Kanye West's Pablo Pop-Up Shop in New York 2016
This Is How You Know Kanye's Pablo Pop-Up Was a Success
When Kanye West announced his Pablo pop-up shop on Twitter, taking place March 18 to 20 on Wooster Street in New York City, we predicted very long lines. (Kanye's 20 million followers are quite in tune to his feed, after all.) But when it comes to causing chaos in the fashion industry, Mr. West always manages to surpass our expectations.
On the first day alone, shoppers and fans waited excitedly to enter the Pablo market, many of them already flaunting Yeezy merch. Plenty left wearing their new apparel or holding clear bags stuffed to the brim with the signature maroon tees, hats, and sweatshirts, designed in collaboration with Cali DeWitt. After the weekend ended, Kanye even claimed he made a collective $1 million in sales.
While you can already find pieces on eBay, it's the dedicated souls who stepped out to support Kanye in NYC who impress us the most. Read on for photos of the pop-up, and see Kim Kardashian's BTS Snapchats from the event.
