The stars of Couples Retreat descended on the red carpet in LA last night to promote the ensemble comedy. Kristen Bell and Malin Akerman showed off their legs in short and sweet dresses, but the ladies were minus one since Kristin Davis is back east working on SATC2. It wasn't all about the women, however, as Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn hammed it up for the cameras.

The Emmys brought out some gorgeous gowns to the red carpet on Sunday, but a few stars got equally fancy for the Metropolitan Opera 125th Season Opening Night Gala in NYC last night. Helena Christensen and Christie Brinkley showed they haven't lost any of their model beauty, while Parker Posey went a little funkier with her big bow. Jenny Humphrey was being bullied at school on last night's episode of Gossip Girl, but in real life Taylor Momsen was looking very grown up and almost unrecognizable in her dramatic red ruffles.

The season's couture shows started yesterday in Paris, and like last year, lots of gorgeous women headed to the city of lights to take in the beautiful sights. Liv Tyler, Janet Jackson, and Eva Mendes chose between the Christian Lacroix, Givenchy, Chanel and Armani shows, as did fashion insiders like Anna Wintour and Claudia Schiffer. Liv and Eva joined up again last night to let off some steam at the Blue Soirée, a party hosted in honor of Lanvin's collaboration with Acne jeans.

Straight from the on-stage high to the press room with their newest hand weight, all the winners were happy to pose with their Oscars last night. All the acting winners — Javier, Daniel, Marion and Tilda – were shining as bright as their awards while the Coen brothers each walked off with an armload. The presenters also stopped to pose for the cameras without statues, but still glamorous nonetheless.

Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams walked the red carpet hand in hand at the premiere of their movie Enchanted in LA Saturday night. Helen Mirren went a little overboard with the metallic getup and pink shoes. Carrie Underwood looked adorable and was there to support the movie, which features one of her new songs.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt looked typically wax figure-esque out at last night's LA premiere of Beowulf. Angelina may have been shy about watching her computer generated body on the big screen, but she was full of smiles on the red carpet keeping herself covered in her coat while Brad opted for his requisite hat. Elsewhere on the red carpet Anthony Hopkins did his best Jack Nicholson impersonation while John Malkovich was generally cool in his yellow/green coat.

Some of Hollywood's most well respected actors — from Julia to Helen to Jennifer Connelly — came out in LA last night for the 16th Annual BAFTA/LA Cunard Britannia Awards. Kate Winslet went from her casual LAX look to stunning on the red carpet to receive the Artist of the Year Award. Reese popped over from her Children's Defense Fund event in the same dress to pay homage to some of her colleagues.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Hugh Jackman took on hosting duties last night at "A Fine Romance," a benefit for the Motion Picture & Television Fund. The fund-raiser celebrates the relationship between Broadway shows and Hollywood movies, and featured performances by Kristin Chenoweth, Vanessa Williams and Dick Van Dyke among others. Jennifer Hudson also took the stage, still reaping the benefits of her Oscar-winning performance in Dreamgirls.

The young stars from the Harry Potter franchise got even more recognition in London this weekend at the National Movie Awards. The award for best family movie went to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix while Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson took home prizes for best male and female actress. Adorable Emma was very gracious in her acceptance, saying, "I can honestly, honestly say I didn't.

After the Emmys and before all the other big after parties, some of TV's finest celebrated the event at the Shrine Auditorium Governor's Ball. Naturally all the Heroes were in the house - I'm beginning to think that maybe they all really do have super powers, ones that allow them to be at multiple parties at once. Tina and America, two of my personal favorite winners, spent some QT with their new statues and looked gorgeous in their dresses.
