Kate Hudson and Ryder brought some friends along for lunch in Brentwood today. The actress arrived back home in LA after a trip to NYC to do promotion for Nine as well as a stop by Oprah to chat about the star-studded movie. Kate revealed that her 6-year-old son had a bit of a thing for beautiful Penelope Cruz, and though he may be too young to watch mom and all her female costars up on the big screen, he can still enjoy Kate's singing during the bedtime bonding she loves so much.

Kate Hudson got an escort through LAX yesterday after spending a few days in NYC starting to promote Nine including a screening where she brought Alex Rodriguez as her date. The actress is used to a busy traveling schedule after supporting A-Rod during the World Series, but this time it's all about her and of course the movie's other beautiful costars. Fergie won you over with her rendition of "Be Italian," but Kate is giving her a run for her money — check out Kate's "Cinema Italiano" after the jump.

Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez were back in Manhattan yesterday after three nights in Philadelphia for the World Series. The Yankees won two on the road, but it wasn't enough so he and his team will be back on their home field tonight. Kate has proved herself a loyal fan, whether or not she's the key to A-Rod's success and she'll certainly be there tonight to cheer him on.

Kate Hudson had a happier night at Yankee Stadium on Thursday when Alex Rodriguez and his team conquered the Phillies after a rough loss on Wednesday. The evening started out with Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performing "Empire State of Mind" for the crowd and John Legend taking on the National Anthem. Kate's man A-Rod is in a mini slump at the moment, but his good luck charm is here to stay — Kate's even supposedly canceled her annual Halloween party in order to watch him play in Philadelphia tomorrow.

Kate Hudson bundled up and headed to Yankee Stadium last night to watch game one of the World Series with Kurt Russell. She was also joined by good friend Matthew McConaughey and pregnant Camila Alves, but unfortunately for the celebrity crew, Alex Rodriguez and his Yankees couldn't pull out a win. They'll be back for more tonight, and Kate isn't one to miss a playoff game — which even means that she's apparently called off her annual star-studded Halloween party in order to cheer on Alex when the series moves to Philadelphia on Saturday.
