Jennifer Lopez recently announced her new reality dance show on NBC — the same network behind her hit cop drama, Shades of Blue — by launching a casting call on social media.
Since then, even more details have emerged about the 10-episode World of Dance series, which will feature three categories of elite dancers: junior, upper, and team. Though it was initially reported that Jennifer would be producing the show, she'll actually be judging the competition alongside Ne-Yo, Derek Hough, and Jenna Dewan Tatum.
Considering J Lo launched her career dancing and has previous experience as a judge from her days on American Idol, this seems like a totally natural role for her to fill. Nonetheless, the stakes are incredibly high for the dancers, who will be competing for a whopping $1 million and the title of best dancer(s) in the world. Keep reading to see exactly why we think J Lo is going to rock this gig, which, as of Jan. 16, is already in production!
