Diamond Nail Art That's Classy Enough to Wear on Your Wedding Day

A french manicure for your wedding day? It's been done! It's time we reinvented the bridal manicure into something more exciting. Now, we're not saying you should go all out with graphic or 3D designs. Your shining diamond ring should still be the center of attention in the wedding photos. That's why we created this subtle wedding manicure with the help of Paintbox salon in NYC. The rose-gold base and white racing stripe (which we like to think symbolizes your walk down the aisle) are simple yet chic. By adding a few Swarovski crystals to the ring finger, this nail art becomes something only the bride can pull off.

Step 1

Step 1

Start by laying down two coats of rose-gold nail polish. This shade is Gelish Oh What a Knight! But you can also use Essie Penny Talk or CND Vinylux in Chiffon Twirl as nongel alternatives.

Step 2

Step 2

Use a very thin nail art brush to create a vertical racing stripe in the center of each nail. The key to getting a straight line is actually quick, fast strokes. Draw the two outside borders first, then fill in the line. Just make sure the stripe is big enough to fit the rhinestones on top. The shade pictured is Gelish Arctic Freeze, but Essie Blanc is another polish alternative.

Step 3

Step 3

What would a bride be without her bling? Adding rhinestones is the final step in this wedding manicure. Use the blunt end of a rosewood stick dipped in clear polish to pick up the minuscule jewels. Set each crystal in a vertical line on the ring finger as an accent nail.
