KJ Apa plays the redheaded Archie Andrews on The CW's Riverdale, but his signature vibrant red hair on the hit TV show isn't his natural hue.

Apa revealed on the KTLA 5 Morning News Show in 2017 that it took eight hours to dye his hair (including his eyebrows) for his Riverdale role. His natural hair color is a dark brown (that is near black).

Over the years, actress Amy Adams's shiny, red waves have become one of her signature beauty looks — so much so that one might be surprised to find out that this actually isn't her natural hair color.

According to People, while Adams was at a talk hosted by The New York Times, she said she began dyeing her hair red for a role back in 2004 and that her hair was originally strawberry blond.

Scarlett Johansson is perhaps best known for her various shades of blond hair, ranging from dirty blond to golden, and even platinum.

For one of her first professional appearances — back when she was 9 years old — she had blond hair (that seemed to have deepened as time went on).
