Dustin Eye Shadow Art Is the Strangest Thing You'll See All Day

A post shared by @drownthecityy on

I think that we can all agree that Gaten Matarazzo, AKA Dustin on Stranger Things, is a magical human. The 15-year-old actor has taken over our hearts and Netflix queues, not to mention completely flooring us with his singing chops. We thought that there was no such thing as too much Gaten Matarazzo, but then we saw this eye shadow look in his likeness and, now, may have to amend our statement. But also, maybe not. This crazy-realistic design is a pretty — dare we say it — strange sight to behold, and we're sort of into it.

This all comes courtesy of Alabama-based makeup artist @Drownthecityy, who dreamed up the inspiration after binging season two. "Hello, I have drawn [Gaten] on my eyeball . . . because Stranger Things 2 is all everyone is talking about," the stylist wrote. The resemblance is so uncanny, you may not sleep tonight. Still, there's no denying it takes some serious chops to whip this portrait up.

If you also want to draw this nice young man on your eyelids, here's how to do it: @Drownthecityy began by using Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner in Trooper ($20), and blended Morphe's 35B and 350 Palettes (both $23) together. Star Crushed Minerals White Lightening Shadow ($7) was also used to detail Dustin's hat and t-shirt.

Sure, it's a somewhat freaky look, but we think it does Dustin justice. Now, if only @Drownthecityy could paint Steve Harrington, his unlikely new friend and hair guru, on the other eye. Then it would really be a party.
