Why Beauty Fiends are Mesmerized by Blogger Huda Kattan

Huda says her mission is to: "influence women everywhere on easy ways to not only boost their beauty, but also their confidence!" She posts about her own insecurities, which is what makes her relatable to her fanbase. She recently posted this Instagram, saying, "Bad side! Super uncomfortable with this side of my face AND smiling since my teeth totally shifted after my wisdom teeth came in! Sometimes if you just embrace your flaws, you can get a photo that you feel pretty good about!"

Huda was raised in the United States by Iraqi parents, being born in Oklahoma and raised in Tennessee. (Yes, she's a Southern girl!) She studied finance at the University of Michigan before following her passion and training at Joe Blasco Makeup Artist Training Center in Hollywood, CA.

She moved to Dubai in 2006 with her husband and is mother to her daughter, Nour Giselle. She still works as a beauty consultant — she recently worked on Nicole Richie!

No cattiness here! Huda supports other women (and makeup connoisseurs in general) by posting tutorials she loves on her own Instagram — which has 4.5 milllion followers. Search the hashtag #HudaBeauty and you'll find nearly a million posts from beauty junkies around the globe.

Huda is a true makeup chameleon in that she doesn't stray away from trying out all types of new looks, including experimenting with colored contacts!

She's known for her full-on glam style, but here she's showing off a subtle, natural makeup look.

Huda started her own line of products, HudaBeauty, including flirty strip and individual lashes, black lash glue, and nails. (Lashes range from $16-$20.)

Many of her makeup artist friends like Mario Dedivanovic, who is Kim Kardashian's go-to, use her lashes to amp up their clients's looks.

As if Huda's makeup looks aren't glam enough, this tidbit takes her to the max in the glam department: girlfriend rinses her hair with bottled water. It might not be the most eco-friendly, but she does have her reasons. (Thankfully, it's not "I hate tap water.")

"My scalp was getting super irritated from the water in Dubai," Huda says, so she uses low-sodium bottled water to rinse her scalp. May we suggest a water filter, Huda?
