Our friends over at The Cut recently reported on post-Trump haircuts. According to their team, women (especially in DC) have been dramatically switching up their styles — whether it's going platinum or chopping it all off — since the results of the presidential election rolled in. However, we hadn't seen a celebrity take part in this trend until Olivia Wilde showed off her new cut on Instagram.
The actress, who formerly had strands long enough to reach the middle of her back, opted to snip off several inches, resulting in a length that just passes her clavicle bone. "Feelin' myself apparently," she said as she flaunted her shorter look in a Boomerang, thanking celebrity stylist Harry Josh for his work. But read her comment closely: there's a message in that hashtag. "#nomoremelaniahair," she declared, referring to her cropped coif.
Fans of Olivia — and fans of Melania Trump — have left hundreds of comments to either support her hashtag or declare outrage. It's hard to say how the finished look compares to Mrs. Trump's own style (the quick video is shot from a very tight angle), but we'll be keeping a close eye on her feed for more peeks at her new cut. Stay tuned for updates!
